Writer Realities #1

I begin this series by saying that sometimes as writers we can have a hard time distinguishing between reality and fiction. I’m here to give you the reality of being a writer.

Writing is a business like anything else that involves monetary gain. If you forget this business aspect, you could find yourself unable to sell your work. Not everyone is the next Sherman Alexie or Stephanie Meyer. It’s probably going to take some flare to get your writing out the door.

Aside: this doesn’t mean that you are required to sell-out to become successful.
